How Peak Trace handles what you send us.
Who we are
Peak Trace operates this site under the brand PeakTrace. We are the controller of the information described below. The way to reach us about it is the Inquire page; we do not publish a mailbox or telephone number, and we reply privately to the address you give us.
What an inquiry collects
The inquiry form asks for your name, your email address, an optional company name, the type of inquiry (Testing, Bulk Testing, Report Question or General) and your message. That is all of it. We store the inquiry so our team can read and answer it, together with the time it arrived and a reference number.
What a testing request collects
A testing request asks for your name, email address, optional company, the country the sample ships from, and what you declare about the sample: the compound, its form, how many samples, an optional declared amount and unit, an optional batch reference, and any notes you add. We ask for nothing about your health and you should not send any.
Why we hold it
To answer your inquiry, to review whether the analysis you want is available, to issue a quote, to identify your sample when it arrives, and to release the resulting report to you. Your reference number is the identifier we use in correspondence, so sample details need not travel by email.
Declared versus measured
What you tell us about a sample is stored as a declaration and is never presented as a measurement. Measured values come from the performing laboratory and are recorded separately, with the method, the issuer and the reviewer attached.
Report access
Reports are private by default. Access is checked on the server for every record and every download; a report ID alone reveals only that a record exists and what its current status is. A report becomes shareable only when an explicit permission is granted for it, and an authorised verification link should be treated as confidential because anyone holding it can open the record.
Files and attachments
Where a report carries a source document or a photograph, that file is stored privately alongside the record and served only to viewers the record authorises. Files are not placed on public URLs. Uploads from customers are not enabled yet; when they are, the same rule will apply.
Customer accounts
Customer accounts are not available yet. Today, staff accounts are the only sign-in on this site, and they exist so that every status change, quote and report release is attributable to a named person. When customer accounts are introduced, this notice will be updated before they go live.
Service providers
Records are held in the application's own storage on the infrastructure where this site runs. Performing laboratories receive the sample and the information needed to analyse it. We do not sell your information, and we do not share it for advertising. No third-party analytics, advertising or session-recording service is embedded in these pages.
Measurement
We count how many requests are started and completed and which calls to action are used. Customer identities, declared sample details and report contents are excluded from those events.
Retention
Issued reports are retained as immutable versions with their review history, because a verification record has to remain checkable after the fact. Requests and inquiries are retained with the same audit history so we can account for what was decided and when.
Your choices
You can ask what we hold about an inquiry or a request, ask us to correct the details you supplied, or ask us to withdraw a request that has not yet been analysed. Send an inquiry with your reference number and we will deal with it.
Draft pending legal review
This notice describes how the site actually works and is accurate to the build. It has not been reviewed by a legal adviser and is not a legally approved document. It must be confirmed against Peak Trace’s jurisdiction and obligations before launch. Questions in the meantime go through Inquire.
